Hi! I am Christine Louise, seamstress, dressmaker and passionate home sewer. Through my business, Christine Louise Alterations, I cater for a multitude of sewing needs.

Whilst sewing of some sort has always been a part of my life, my educational background is in costume. I specialised in costume construction whilst studying for my degree at Cleveland College of Art and Design. The skills I came away with included dressmaking, millinery, tailoring and design interpretation. My training has allowed me to gain invaluable practical experience within the costume, film and theatre industries in London and the Northeast of England, where I was previously based.
Since graduating with first class honours, I have enjoyed continuing to develop and expand my range of skills, both in a professional capacity and within my own time. I transitioned into special occasion and bridal wear, continuing to develop my skillset working with a well-established bridal alterations business.
In 2016, I founded Christine Louise Alterations and have been working with my customers to achieve their perfect look ever since.
I am passionate about delivering a professional, reliable and quality service you can depend on. I would love to be a part of your special day. Please contact me to discuss your individual requirements and I look forward to working with you soon.
